YOUR RIDING HOLIDAY EQUIPMENT!
It is very important that you are comfortable & safe. Correct footwear is essential & we recommend short jodhpur boots with leather or suede ½ chaps worn with stretch jodhpurs or riding trousers – much cooler than long boots*! A light T shirt or similar is ideal in the hot weather. A modern hard hat with chin strap must be worn at all times when mounted.
Back protectors are recommended for jumping, but not compulsory.
Soft leather gloves are also advisable.
*(These can be purchased from tack shops or online. Cost can vary hugely! The inexpensive varieties are good value.)
DON'T FORGET YOUR PERSONAL MEDICAL INSURANCE.
Younger children & other casual riding by arrangement - subject to availability.
For those wishing to ‘have a go’ & do not have their own riding equipment, we can offer a small selection of hats but suitable footwear MUST be worn. (No sandles!) Small children, beginners & others will kept on a leading rein at the discretion of the instructor - for their own safety.
All riding begins with tuition in the menage with our qualified instructors, hacking can be requested after assessment. Hacking is an opportunity to explore this lovely countryside at a gentle pace with some trotting & cantering for the more experienced riders. HH
